Large Car Small Car – Which One to Choose
Although some people can afford more than one car, for instance they might have a fun two seater to drive at the weekend, an executive saloon for their day job and as a family car, most of us do not enjoy that luxury, and as a result need just the single car to cope with all the roles.
Of course, a large SUV will do them all, but there are also several disadvantages to owning one. Firstly they tend not to be one of the greenest of vehicles around and they are expensive to run. And although you might argue that they are much safer than most other cars, as they fare better than a small car in a collision, they also have a greater tendency to overturn.
Really, unless you do need to clog the arteries of the UK road system and tow a caravan or a horse box, and you do not need off-road capabilities and as you are not a farmer, then there is no need for a SUV, however cool it might look on the school run.
If you do need a larger family car, there are many to choose from that offer levels of comfort far greater than you will find in most SUVs. If you do need a larger load space, then many large family hatchbacks can carry huge loads.
